The Magical Kenya

The pride of Africa

Kenya – the name is almost synonymous with the word “safari.” Few other places on the planet conjure such a spirit of adventure and romance. The diversity of things to do in Kenya dazzles all who visit, and viewing the country’s abundant wildlife tops the list.

See throngs of wildebeest thundering across the savanna during the Great Migration in the Maasai Mara; come eye-to-eye with elephants in Amboseli; or marvel at Lake Nakuru, flecked with thousands of flamingos.

In these sun-soaked lands, ancient tribes, such as the Maasai, Kikuyu, and Samburu, retain their traditional customs, living in relative harmony with the natural world.

Ancient sandy beaches and wildlife

Kenya is home to the big game. The Big Five are the Lion, the Elephant, the Leopard, the Buffalo, and the Rhino.

Most game parks and game reserves in the country have either two or three of the five, but the Tsavo, Maasai Mara, and Amboseli national parks have four. Nairobi National Park has all five of them.

Kenya’s coast has three popular towns. Diani has the most popular beach resorts, Mombasa for its active nightlife and Nyali which is a residential part of Mombasa.

The entire coast has beaches, both private and public ones. Diani has the best private beach, the Diani beach, while Mombasa has the most famous public beach, Kenyatta beach.
